Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (MedSurg)

Location: Milan, Missouri
Contract Length: 8 weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (36-hour schedule)
Weekend/Call Requirements: Weekends required; no call
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

• Primarily working on the Medical-Surgical floor.
• Ability to assist in the Emergency Room (ER) is a plus but not required.

Required Qualifications

• Missouri State RN license or compact RN license.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC only, required for MedSurg).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA or ARC only, required for MedSurg).
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as required (AHA or ARC only, required for MedSurg).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certification as required.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification as required.
• NURSYS verification required for all RNs.

Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Additional Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation.
• Government issued photo ID required during hours of service.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and state-specific searches.
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually.
• Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months.
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for clearance starting 10/28/2024.
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Completion of skills checklist annually for applicable unit.

Work Conditions

• No overtime allowed until after 48 hours.
• May occasionally cover additional shifts as needed.
