Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Clinton, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Labor and Delivery RN
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (0700-1930)
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
- Call requirement: 36 hours in 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period (must be on premises within 45 minutes of call)
- Every other weekend and holiday required
- Float within skillset (Mom/Baby, postpartum, etc.) required
- Locals within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience (high-risk experience required)
- Certifications:
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE certification
- C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) required at submission (AWHONN acceptable as placeholder if C-EFM not yet completed, but must register for C-EFM course)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- AWHONN certification preferred
- Skills: Circulate, FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring), preceptor and/or charge nurse experience preferred
- Triage experience preferred
- Must be able to float within related areas (Mom/Baby, postpartum)
- Prior travel experience not required (1st time travelers accepted)
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to respond to call within 45 minutes on-site
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps
- Background checks including criminal, education verification, and federal/state screenings required
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray (annual updates)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) documentation or titers
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella documentation or titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Competency exams including medication/pharmacology and EKG/dysrhythmia testing may be required depending on unit
- Valid state RN license required prior to start
Work Environment
- High-risk Labor and Delivery unit
- Float to related units as needed
- Call and weekend/holiday coverage required

This is a travel contract opportunity for an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with high-risk L&D experience.
