Travel/Contract Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts accepted
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
• Float: Must float to all care areas to care for Medical-Surgical patients
• Charting: EPIC charting required
• Locals: Not accepted; candidate must live more than 70 miles from the facility
• Unit: Comprehensive overflow unit staffed by hospitalist team, caring for patients from all disciplines

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Requirements

• Background check within 12 months including SSN trace, 7-year county residence/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search
• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
• Negative drug screen within 12 months
• TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if PPD positive
• Fit mask testing onsite during first week of orientation (annual requirement)
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
• COVID vaccination preferred but not mandatory
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and checklists
• Photo for badge (passport style, shoulders up, plain background)
• Skills checklist required
• References: Two professional references required

• Candidates must complete all required facility-specific documents and trainings prior to or during orientation
• Candidates must be willing to comply with fit testing requirements, including being clean-shaven if required for mask fit
