Job Description
- Position: Interventional Radiology Tech - Days
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology
- First-time travelers accepted
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs (may float between like units)
- Block Scheduling: Open to accommodation
- Locals: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
- Pending License: Not accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Per manager's discretion
- Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; beyond that, all contracted shifts are guaranteed
- Special Policies:
- Must be gone 1 year before returning as a traveler
- System has a 2-contract limit (can only extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning

Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Must have Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
- Days, weekends, and call required
- All callouts for scheduled shifts must be made up as deemed necessary by the department
Certifications (AHA or Military only; documentation must reflect legal name)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for Special Procedures (IR) and other specified units
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required for Sonographers & Radiology Techs
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for certain units (ED, OR, Peds ED, PICU, etc.)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – Required for L&D, FCCU, NICU units
- NIH Stroke Certification – Must be updated annually for specified units
Competency Exams
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam – Required and must be renewed annually; minimum 80% to pass with up to 3 attempts
- Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) – Required for IR and other units; remediation required if initial attempts fail
Background & Health Requirements
- Background Check: Required within 6 months of start; includes SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable
- Education Verification: Required; diploma or transcript acceptable if verification unavailable
- Physical Exam: Required within 1 year, updated annually
- Immunizations & Titers:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap) within last 10 years (no declinations accepted for new hires)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella – Titer or 2 vaccines required (no declinations accepted for new hires)
- Hepatitis B – Vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination accepted
- TB Screening: Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start; annual renewal required
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (specific substances listed)
- Flu Vaccine: Required year-round; medical or religious exemptions accepted with facility-specific forms and approval
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required but accepted if available
