Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a High Risk OB Unit
- Call as needed
- Float to Mother/Baby unit as required
- Weekend shifts as needed
- Scrubs provided by the hospital
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Experience in a teaching hospital setting
- Experience with 200-300 births per month
- Epic electronic health record system experience required
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Intermediate
- FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)
Additional Requirements
- Must meet all standard background checks and verifications
- Must comply with immunization and health screening requirements including TB testing, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccination (or approved exemptions/declinations)
- Must complete medication, competency, and dysrhythmia/EKG exams annually with a minimum score of 80%
- Must adhere to employee appearance policies and other facility-specific guidelines
