Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in a High Risk OB Unit
Call as needed
Float to Mother/Baby unit as required
Weekend shifts as needed
Scrubs provided by the hospital

Required Experience & Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
Experience in a teaching hospital setting
Experience with 200-300 births per month
Epic electronic health record system experience required

Required Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
AWHONN Intermediate
FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)

Additional Requirements

Must meet all standard background checks and verifications
Must comply with immunization and health screening requirements including TB testing, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccination (or approved exemptions/declinations)
Must complete medication, competency, and dysrhythmia/EKG exams annually with a minimum score of 80%
Must adhere to employee appearance policies and other facility-specific guidelines
