Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Metairie, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform duties in both CT and X-Ray imaging.
• Must demonstrate skills and knowledge in the use of all GE equipment for CT and X-Ray.
• Proficient in all angio CT procedures.
• Comfortable working independently and prioritizing tasks.
• Call requirements: Yes, in rotation for backup call.
• Holiday requirements: Yes, in rotation.
• Scrubs color: Hunter Green.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Louisiana.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year.
• At least 1 year of experience performing CT and X-Ray imaging.
• Proficiency in angio CT procedures.
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician.
• Required certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Experience with Epic.

Additional Requirements

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years.
• Drug screening within 30 days of start.
• Required health documents/vaccinations including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (recent within 3 months)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella vaccinations or positive titer
  • Seasonal flu vaccination (required during flu season with exemptions accepted)
• Annual competency exams and certifications as applicable.
• Must comply with employee appearance policy.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Must be able to participate in call and holiday rotations.
• Must be comfortable working independently and managing priorities.

This position is ideal for a CT Technologist with solid experience in CT and X-Ray imaging, proficiency with GE equipment, and the ability to work independently in a travel/contract role.
