Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Night Shift)

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry
• Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross (or RQI)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross (or RQI)
• Baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation required during orientation (90% passing for medication, 80% for ECG)
• Annual core competency training required
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)

Additional Requirements

• Must complete onboarding modules and training prior to clearance to start
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signed contract; candidates may start with results pending if fingerprinting is done before start date
• Candidates with gaps longer than 6 months since last assignment at this or related facilities may need to repeat orientation and modules
• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID at all times on assignment
• Compliance with facility-specific health and safety protocols, including latex allergy notification if applicable
