Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Night Shift)
Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry
- Hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross (or RQI)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross (or RQI)
- Baseline competency exams in medication administration and ECG interpretation required during orientation (90% passing for medication, 80% for ECG)
- Annual core competency training required
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
Additional Requirements
- Must complete onboarding modules and training prior to clearance to start
- Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signed contract; candidates may start with results pending if fingerprinting is done before start date
- Candidates with gaps longer than 6 months since last assignment at this or related facilities may need to repeat orientation and modules
- Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID at all times on assignment
- Compliance with facility-specific health and safety protocols, including latex allergy notification if applicable
