ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Ohio

Position Details

• Location: Ashtabula, Ohio
• Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Floating: Must be willing to float to Medical/Surgical units if needed

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Required Health & Compliance Documents

• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Background check including FCRA compliant 7-year search, SSN trace, and education verification
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months, updated annually
• Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to safely perform job functions
• Fit mask testing completed onsite during orientation
• Immunizations/vaccinations with official records for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required every 10 years)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold/T-Spot) within 12 months; chest x-ray if prior positive
• Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (exemptions require documentation and facility approval)

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start
• Two professional references within 1 year of start from a manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director (co-worker references not accepted)
• Employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area
• Unit-specific competency exam within 12 months, updated annually
• Annual acknowledgment of orientation safety manual

• Candidates may start with fingerprinting results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Facility provides radiation badge if applicable
