Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology
Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- First shift with call, staggered start time between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM
- Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- Call Requirement: Weekends and evenings/nights on call rotation (primary and backup)
- No float requirement
- Patient population primarily adults and geriatrics, with some adolescents
- Required skills in both Neuro (including stroke intervention) and Body procedures
- Daily case load: 13-17 cases
- Use of Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment required; Acuson preferred
- Hospital orientation during week one; attendance at daily classes required
- Scrubs provided
Required Skills and Experience
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Experience in an inpatient hospital setting
- Neuro experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
- PACS experience
- Contrast experience
Certifications
- ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
- EPIC and McKesson experience preferred
Patient Diagnoses
- Majority adults and geriatrics, some adolescents
- Required skills in neurovascular and body interventional procedures including stroke intervention
Additional Information
- No Return to Office (RTO) after booking allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation
- Hospital orientation and training mandatory during first week
- Radiation badge required for this specialty
- Various compliance, background checks, and health documentation required prior to start (e.g., TB test, immunizations, drug testing)
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Candidates must complete facility-specific education and compliance training modules
- Photo for badge required immediately after signing contract to avoid start delays
