Job Opportunity: Orthopedic Tech (Surgical Services)

Location: Coupeville, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Call Required: No
Floating: As needed within scope

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Requirements

• First time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech
• Driver’s License or government-issued photo ID required
• Background checks including SSN trace, nationwide, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG exclusions within 90 days of start
• Education verification or official transcripts/diploma required
• Washington State mandated WATCH clearance within 90 days prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (can be completed onsite if necessary)
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years, declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot within 12 months; PPD not accepted) and TB questionnaire annually
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) titer or completed series (declination form available)
  • Hepatitis B titer or vaccination/declination
  • Varicella titer or completed series
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination form (required for new starts)
  • COVID vaccination series or declination
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen including marijuana within 1 year of start
• Two professional references within 3 years
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Clear results on all background and sanction checks required

This position is ideal for an Orthopedic Tech with at least 1 year of experience, holding the required certifications and licenses, who is ready to work a standard weekday schedule in a surgical services environment.
