Required Licenses and Verifications

Valid California RN license
NURSYS verification required
Pending licenses are NOT accepted

Required Background and Compliance Checks

Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
Education verification for nursing degree (international education requires diploma/transcript)
Drug screening: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within last 3 years
Employment application covering at least last 5 years
Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
Immunizations and health documents including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years (declination accepted)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
Respirator fit testing (annual) required for travel starts on or after 2/5/2024
WA and OR state-specific background checks if applicable

Additional Requirements

Must complete medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
Float policy acknowledgment required
Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background)
Completion of required WorkRamp training modules prior to start, including:
- Annual regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for Labor and Delivery
- Regional and facility-specific modules as assigned

Work Environment and Scheduling

Ratios are 1:2 for Labor and Delivery
Floating between similar units may be required
Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager discretion
No weekend or on-call requirements

Notes

Facility uses Epic for charting; completion of Epic training modules required

Pending licenses are not accepted
Fire Card certification must be obtained prior to or within 30 days of start
Background checks and verifications must be current and compliant with facility policies

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Fire Card certification
AWHONN certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
