Job Opportunity: Pathologists Assistant
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position requires a Pathologists Assistant with 2+ years of experience.
- Specialty focus: Anatomic Pathology / Pediatric Pathology.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible overtime if cases run late.
- No weekend shifts.
- Shift type: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (Day shift).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pathology Assistant license in District of Columbia.
- Pathology Assistant with at least 2 years of experience.
- Pathology Assistant experience within the last year.
- A Bachelor's degree.
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 30 days of start, including latex allergy information.
- Fit test for N95 or PAPR respirators within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- Immunizations and titers required with lab values and reference ranges:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive quantitative titer).
- Hepatitis B series and quantitative surface antibody titer.
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive quantitative titer).
- 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (must include marijuana).
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required.
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination required for tracking.
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references dated within the past two years (preferably supervisors/managers).
- Employment application and skills checklist required.
- Photo for badge must meet specific guidelines and be submitted immediately after signing.
- Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgment and pass/fail testing where applicable.
- Facility-specific training modules and compliance training may be required prior to start.

- No prior travel experience explicitly required.
- This is a day shift position with no weekend work.
- All certifications must be current and cannot expire within 30 days of the start date.
