Location: Westwood, New Jersey

Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour nights

• Travel Radius: 50 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
• Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, with NICU experience within the last year
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Certifications (as applicable):

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
  • Chemotherapy (Chemo) certification
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Tech Certification Verification - National
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (must be renewed annually)
• Required immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination
  • Hepatitis B immunity or declination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and federal/state screenings
• Valid driver’s license or state ID

Additional Requirements

• Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
• Work history verification for the past 7 years (NJ requires at least 1 year verified with minimal gaps)
• Completion of employment application/resume
• Photo for badge identification
• Compliance with facility-specific orientation and safety training, including HIPAA acknowledgment

Notes

• Fingerprinting may be required onsite during orientation (specific to certain states)
• Some certifications and competencies may be required as applicable to the role and facility policies
• Candidates must meet all health and safety documentation requirements prior to start
