Job Opportunity: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract

Location

• Aldie, Virginia
• Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the office/hub
• Local candidates accepted at travel rate

Position Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Average patient load: 5-7 patients per day (geriatric, end-of-life care)
• EMR system used: Netsmart
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color; jeans are not allowed
• Device provided: iPad (cell phone use not allowed)
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• Flexibility with territory expected
• Timely documentation and communication required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of recent Hospice Palliative Care RN experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Virginia State Police background check and sex offender search required for all Virginia placements
• E-Verify and EPLS/GSA/SAM checks required within 30 days of start
• Fingerprinting requirements for Florida candidates (AHCA Level II) noted but not applicable unless working in Florida
• Various facility-specific documents must be completed prior to start, including confidentiality, conflict of interest, immunization statements, sexual abuse policy, code of conduct, and sworn statements for Virginia placements
• Passport-style photo required for badge issuance
• Skills assessments must be completed annually

• On-call duties are not required
• This is a travel contract position with a contract length of approximately 13 weeks
• Candidates must have a government-issued photo ID and complete I9 and other accounting documents as part of onboarding
