Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Mullica Hill, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have 3 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience (highest required years of experience).
• Travel experience required: Candidate must have completed at least one prior travel contract assignment.
• Experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Work Schedule & Orientation

• Weekend shifts: Every other weekend or 3 per month depending on unit needs.
• No holiday shifts required.
• Return to Office (RTO) requests: No more than 3 days accepted.
• No block scheduling or special shift requests allowed.

Orientation Details

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting, online HealthStream modules, in-person classes (typically Tuesday-Thursday), and unit-based orientation.
• Badge ID appointment must be completed during orientation; photo submissions are not accepted. Badge required for clock-ins.

Additional Requirements

• Compliance with background checks, drug screening, immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella, TdaP), physical exam, and various verifications (employment, license, education).
• Completion of mandatory trainings including core annual training, confidentiality, competency exams, and stroke education.
