Job Opportunity: RN - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) / Every Other Holiday (EOH)

Required Experience

• Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN experience for Medical/Surgical/Telemetry roles (typically 1-2 years).

Certifications & Licenses Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support): American Heart Association certification required for all direct patient care personnel. Must provide front and back card images.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required for RNs in critical care areas including CCU, ED, PACU, MICU, SICU. Must provide front and back card images.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale): Optional but preferred.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Optional.
• Valid RN License: Must be verified online within 30 days of start date.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Fit Test: Required.
• Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days of start, preferred within 14 days. Must include specific substances (no THC).
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of booster by September 2025, or declination/exemption (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
• Influenza Vaccine: Proof of vaccine, declination, or exemption for the 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 flu season (declination not accepted in CA or IL).
• MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer.
• Hepatitis B: Must have started vaccination series prior to start; titers not accepted.
• Varicella: Proof of 1 vaccination or IgG titer.
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): TB screening required; positive TB requires chest x-ray per regional guidelines.
• Tdap: Current, non-expired vaccine required; declinations accepted if no pediatric interaction.
• Physical/Health Statement: Documentation from exam within last year confirming fitness to work.

Professional & Compliance Requirements

• Background Checks: Federal, nationwide, county criminal checks from last 7 years, SSN verification, employment verifications.
• Education Verification: Highest academic degree or diploma verified.
• Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Conflict of Interest, Integrity and Audit Services Forms: Must be signed and on file.
• Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing: Specialty exam completed within the last year.
• Trinity Joint Commission CORE Exam: Completed within the last year.
• Trinity NSO (National Sex Offender) Check: Within 30 days of start.
• Trinity EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) and GSA/OIG Checks: Within 30 days of start.
• Trinity System Access Form: Completed and uploaded one week before start.
• Trinity Child and Adult Dependent Abuse Training: Required for Iowa assignments.
• Iowa Sing Report: State-specific criminal and abuse registry checks required within 30 days prior to start.

Additional Notes

• Resume, skills checklist (within one year), and two professional references required for submission.
• Agency will provide clinical skills checklist.
• All documentation must be uploaded to the system prior to onboarding.
