Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: Cooperstown, New York
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

• Experience with Varian Radiation Equipment and Oncology Systems including TrueBeam, 23ix, and ARIA
• Preferred experience with VisionRT (Surface Guided Radiation Therapy - SGRT)
• Treatment of a comprehensive range of cancers
• Use of Varian Linear Accelerator Equipment (TrueBeam, 23ix), ARIA Oncology Treatment System, VisionRT (SGRT), Bravos HDR Varian System, and Phillips CT Simulator (CT Sim)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license for New York
• ARRT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Completion of required core competencies, unit exam, and skills checklist specific to the facility
• Compliance with required immunizations and health screenings including:

  • MMR
  • Fit Test
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza Vaccine
  • TB Test and Annual TB Questionnaire
  • Varicella
  • Tdap (optional)
• Valid Driver's License or State ID
• Physical/Health Statement
• Professional requirements including:

  • Two professional references
  • Criminal background check
  • Resume submission
  • Various employment verifications and registry checks (e.g., sex offender registries)
• Drug screening
