Job Summary

Provide specialized respiratory care in a Level III NICU for critically ill neonates, including premature and extremely low-birth-weight infants. The role involves managing complex neonatal respiratory support, including therapeutic cooling cases.

Required Qualifications

Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU (3 years of experience)
Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Driver's License

Required Certifications

RRT credential preferred/required

Clinical Experience and Skills

Invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
Conventional ventilators and high-frequency ventilation (HFOV/HFJV)
CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, high-flow nasal cannula, and oxygen therapy
Intubation, extubation, airway management, and emergency stabilization
Respiratory medications, aerosol treatments, and surfactant administration
Arterial, capillary, and venous blood gas interpretation
Neonatal resuscitation and high-risk deliveries
Respiratory support during neonatal therapeutic hypothermia/cooling
Ventilator and respiratory equipment troubleshooting

Additional Notes

Previous travel experience is preferred
Additional certifications may be required based on facility policy
