EP Tech Travel Opportunity - Tacoma, Washington

Position Overview

• Seeking an experienced EP Tech for a travel contract at a hospital in Tacoma, WA.
• Minimum 2 full years of experience required.
• Must hold active BLS, ACLS, RCIS, RT or RCE certification, and a Washington state license.
• Experience with sedation and Phase 1 recovery preferred.
• ICU or PACU experience is a plus.
• Prefer candidates with EPIC electronic medical record experience.
• Must have experience working in both Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) settings.

Job Details

• Specialty: Electrophysiology (EP Tech)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Work Schedule: 4/10s (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM), no call, no weekends
• Closed on holidays
• No mandatory call; emergency or weekend cases are on a volunteer basis
• Team environment with a one-team approach; expected to assist where able
• Not required to scrub in
• Circulating and assisting roles; core staff handles most documentation
• Charge or lead nurse present; lead tech when staffing allows

Work Environment

• 3 EP suites used for procedures
• Average of 22 cases between Cath Lab and EP, starting with 15 cases and potentially adding up to 15 more
• Procedures include ablations, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and other advanced EP lab cases
• Equipment includes St Jude and Webster EP systems

Certifications & Requirements

• BLS and ACLS required for RNs
• RCIS, RT, or RCE required for techs
• COVID-19 vaccine required
• Washington state tax auto-deducted (with option to re-add)

Additional Notes

• Extreme backlog of cases due to COVID-19; preference given to candidates willing to take extra hours
• Emphasis on teamwork and patient-first mentality
