GI/Endo Travel Opportunity - Roseburg, Oregon

Position Overview

• Specialty: GI/Endoscopy
• Location: Roseburg, Oregon
• Unit: Endoscopy / GI Lab
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Certifications & Licenses

• Required: ACLS, BLS (AHA) for RN
• Oregon License NOT required at time of application; 90-Day Emergency OR License can be requested after offer acceptance

Patient Care & Duties

• Coverage across all 3 phases: PreOp, IntraOp, and PostOp
• Experience with conscious sedation preferred
• Responsibilities may include monitoring, circulating, scrubbing, and administering sedation during procedures
• Must have experience administering and discharging surgery and endoscopy patients
• Common procedures: EGD, Colonoscopies, Bronchs, starting EBUS

Staffing & Environment

• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 and 1:3
• No charge nurse or house supervisor on unit
• No techs or nurse aides in department
• No respiratory therapy equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP) involved

Shifts & Scheduling

• Shifts vary; examples include:

  • Evenings: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (8 hours), Monday-Friday
  • Days: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10 hours), Monday-Thursday
  • Days: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10 hours), Monday-Thursday

Call & Float Requirements

• No mandatory call or standby requirements
• Call response time: 30 minutes if applicable
• Floating between PreOp and PACU

Orientation & Training

• Unit-specific orientation: 3 days onsite training
• Scrub color and dress code provided

This role is suited for experienced GI/Endoscopy nurses comfortable with varied shifts and comprehensive perioperative care in an endoscopy lab setting.
