CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
A large hospital in Eastern Nebraska is seeking CT Technologists to work day shifts, 40 hours per week. The position involves working with a mixed patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment including a busy OR and ER.
Key Details
- Shifts: 8-hour, 12-hour, or mixed shifts (examples: 7am-7pm, 3pm-11pm) with set schedules
- Weekend/Holiday Requirements: May be required depending on department needs
- Orientation: 36-40 hours of unit/department-specific orientation
- Department Equipment: Siemens scanners, Bracco contrast injectors
- Imaging Types: CT angiograms (CTAs), cardiac imaging, perfusion studies, X-ray, MRI, Ultrasound (floating between areas possible)
- EMR/PACS: EPIC (EMR), McKesson (PACS)
- Work Environment: Level 1 trauma center experience preferred; fast-paced with shifting priorities
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Nebraska
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment as a CT Technologist
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Experience working with Level 1 trauma patients
Additional Notes
- Candidates cannot be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with certain large healthcare systems within a 50-mile radius
- Radiation badge provided by employer
- Must be willing to adapt and problem-solve in a busy environment
- Return to Office (RTO) required within 7 days of contract start; no additional RTO extensions allowed
This opportunity is ideal for CT Technologists with trauma experience who are comfortable working in a dynamic, high-acuity setting and have prior travel contract experience.
