- Inpatient pharmacist
- Acute care: 18 beds
- ICU: 2 beds
Required Qualifications
- Valid Hospital Pharmacist license in Alaska
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Hospital Pharmacist (2 years of experience)
- Hospital Pharmacist experience within the last year
- Experience in Supervisor roles
Preferred Experience
- Pharmacy residency or 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and oversee pharmacy services, including medication preparation, compounding, pharmacist-to-dose monitoring, and safe medication distribution
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on medication selection, availability, dosing, interactions, side effects, and incompatibilities
- Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support effective use of pharmacy personnel and resources
- Support quality assurance, safety, infection control, environmental protection, inventory control, and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee activities
Work Environment
- Must be able to work within a secured pharmacy and clean-room environment
- Must be able to perform medication preparation and compounding activities
