Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

3 x 12-hour shifts
Nights
Rotating weekends and holidays

Required Qualifications

Active RN role
ACLS (AHA)
BLS (AHA)
NIHSS
Must be able to read telemetries
Must be comfortable with chest tubes

Unit Details

Inpatient acute floor
32 beds, all private rooms
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 3–4 patients per nurse

Floating

First to float
May float to ICU with extensive ICU experience; otherwise to general medical floors

Orientation

1 day with the education team
1 day floor orientation

Patient Population / Common Care

Patients with conditions including COPD, CHF, diabetes, sepsis, renal issues, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, respiratory conditions, neuro/surgical/cardiac conditions, and patients with BiPAP, CPAP, trachs, chest tubes, NG tubes, PICC lines, central lines, ablation/cath lab needs, and dialysis
