Location
- Bloomington, Illinois
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- 3 x 12-hour shifts
- Nights
- Rotating weekends and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Active RN role
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
- Must be able to read telemetries
- Must be comfortable with chest tubes
Unit Details
- Inpatient acute floor
- 32 beds, all private rooms
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 3–4 patients per nurse
Floating
- First to float
- May float to ICU with extensive ICU experience; otherwise to general medical floors
Orientation
- 1 day with the education team
- 1 day floor orientation
Patient Population / Common Care
- Patients with conditions including COPD, CHF, diabetes, sepsis, renal issues, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, respiratory conditions, neuro/surgical/cardiac conditions, and patients with BiPAP, CPAP, trachs, chest tubes, NG tubes, PICC lines, central lines, ablation/cath lab needs, and dialysis
