RN II Tele Float Pool MedSurg/CV/Neuro

Role

Travel RN for a MedSurg/Tele float pool with frequent floating between campuses and across Tele, MedSurg, ICU, Cardiac Tele, and holding areas.

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS
• Active ACLS
• Active AZ license or compact
• 2+ years of current tele experience
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting, with 2 max attempts
• Must pass a Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
• COVID vaccine required, or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD

Unit Details

• Tele units include CV Tele B3A and A3 Neuro
• MedSurg units include MedSurg C5 and MedSurg B2C
• CV Tele B3A has 32 beds
• A3 Neuro has 28 beds
• MedSurg C5 has 32 beds
• MedSurg B2C has 29 beds
• Floating is required and may include Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses
• Floating may occur mid-shift
• Tele and MedSurg units use centralized tele or GE Monitors, with RNs expected to interpret EKGs on Tele

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, 7-7
• Nights
• Every other weekend on Tele units
• MedSurg units require 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• MedSurg B2C notes first to float

Clinical Notes

• Tele patients include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG, general tele, neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, and CVAs post TPA
• MedSurg patients include ortho, surgical, oncology, urological, abdominal, Whipple, and women’s surgeries
• No pediatrics on CV Tele B3A; patients are 15 and older
• CV Tele B3A includes Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine to titrate down only
• MedSurg B2C includes Amio and Cardizem to titrate down only
