Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician.
• Use ultrasound technology and techniques to assist in diagnosing medical problems across all patient age groups.
• Work with Phillips ultrasound equipment and Epic EMR system.
• Float between four different locations within the system.
• Handle approximately 10 cases per day depending on location.
• Work in departments with 2 ultrasound rooms at each location.
• Dress code: light blue scrubs.
• Orientation and training provided with the department coordinator.
• Call schedule typically every 5th weekend and one weekday evening.
• Clinician will always have a partner present during shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an ultrasonographer in an acute care hospital setting.
• ARMDS-RDMS (AB) certification with OB-GYN specialty required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network.
• Preferred: Certification in neonatal neurosonography or pediatric sonography.
• Preferred: Experience with pediatric/neonatal patients.
• Experience with Phillips ultrasound equipment.
• Experience with Epic EMR within the past 12 months.
• Ability to maintain clinical competency including age-specific competencies and annual skill verification.
• Strong communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize work demands.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Additional Information

• Floating required to multiple locations within the system.
• Call schedule includes weekend and evening coverage.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
