Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) experience, including experience within the last year
• Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) and Telemetry experience
• Experience in Long Term Acute Care, Acute Care, and Inpatient settings
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments on assigned patients, including admission and shift updates
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans within 8 hours of admission
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team settings and discharge planning
• Monitor and ensure quality patient care, including supervising LPNs and healthcare support team members
• Administer medications and treatments following established medical procedures and hospital policies, including use of medication scanning technology
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely in electronic medical records
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and therapeutic environment for patients
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate supplies, equipment functionality, and infection control
• Educate patients and families regarding treatments, discharge plans, and home care needs
• Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and participation in professional meetings
