Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Summary

Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department of a 167-bed healthcare facility with Level III Trauma Center status. The facility serves patients of all ages and is fully accredited.

Work Schedule

Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: Every other weekend / as needed
Call requirements: As needed
Orientation: Weekly on Mondays

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications prior to start:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)

Preferred Qualifications

ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification is a plus

Job Requirements & Expectations

ER experience required
Professional attitude with willingness to learn
Ability to work as part of a team and support current staff
Respect department expectations and policies

Additional Information

Patient population includes all ages (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
Float to other units as needed
Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed; casual wear and other facility-branded attire are not acceptable

Notes

Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
Facility reserves the right to require additional certifications as needed
