Pharmacy Technician Travel Opportunity

Location: Muskogee, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 40 (5 shifts of 8 hours, including weekends)

Job Description

• Dispense additives for IV and irrigating solutions under supervision, using aseptic technique with laminar airflow hood.
• Prepare and mix IV additive solutions, pharmaceutical preparations, and unit dose medications.
• Fill medication orders accurately and prepare labels for bottles.
• Process medication and equipment records, compute charges, and enter data into computer systems.
• Prepare intravenous (IV) packs and generate production and pick reports.
• Perform backup procedures and recycle products appropriately, including updating prep and expiration dates.
• Prioritize work, deliver IV solutions to proper locations, restock and rotate inventory.
• Maintain IV refrigerator temperature logs and properly dispose of non-recyclable solutions.
• Receive, store, and count incoming supplies; maintain inventory records.
• Calculate appropriate medication doses based on patient age (Adult and Geriatrics).
• Clean and sterilize equipment and glassware according to prescribed methods.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacy Technician license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Multi State Cert) (ABCP)

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Shift schedule includes weekends.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient medication dosing is expected.

This role reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy or a Registered Pharmacist.
