Social Worker - Behavioral Health (Travel)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Day shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
• 40 hours guaranteed weekly
• Occasional weekends
• No call requirements

Unit and Patient Population

• Behavioral Health unit on 3rd floor
• 16 beds
• Patient ratio: 1 Social Worker to 10 patients
• Adult patients (18 years and older)
• Common diagnoses: Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Dual Diagnosis, and patients in mental health crisis

Required Qualifications

• Valid Social Worker license in Nevada
• Minimum 1 year of Social Worker experience within the last year
• Experience working with adult patients in an inpatient setting
• Fit Test clearance
• Up-to-date immunizations including MMR, Tb Testing, Tdap Vaccine/TD Booster, and Varicella

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Facilitation of group therapy
• Psychosocial assessments
• Discharge planning
• Conducting family meetings and collateral contacts with family and community providers

Additional Information

• Possible float to other hospital areas for case management as needed
• Electronic Health Record system: pinpoint MedHost
• Dress code: Any solid color scrubs or business casual attire
