Job Description

• Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders, including group, individual, and family therapy.
• Ensure accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Communicate proactively with patients, families, and referral sources, adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations.
• Participate actively in treatment planning, working with patients to achieve goals and revising plans as needed.
• Collaborate consistently with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff.
• Work with utilization review to communicate length of stay and treatment progress.
• Develop thorough discharge plans to ensure continuity of care for patients and families.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Handle With Care (HWC) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
