Registered Nurse (RN) - SCU

Location: Damariscotta, Maine

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 6 AM - 6 PM or 6 PM - 6 AM (Nights available)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Minimum every other weekend (36 hours)
• Call Requirements: None during core hours
• Float Requirements: Occasional float to Medical-Surgical (MS) unit
• Unit: Special Care Unit (SCU) / Intermediate Care (IMC)
• Number of Beds: 8
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 4:1
• Equipment Used: Ventilators, ceiling lifts, Plumb Pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, SCD boots
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 5 years of Intermediate Care experience, including experience within the last year
• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
• Experience with vasoactive drips
• Ventilator experience

Patient Population

• Patients in SCU, IMC, Medical-Surgical, and occasional Swing unit patients

• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required

Additional Notes

• No call during core hours
• Occasional float to Medical-Surgical unit expected
