Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Utica, New York

Schedule

Night shift
36 hours per week
Start date: October 5
Block scheduling is not guaranteed

Assignment Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Driver's License
Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex
Ability to float to all units except Behavioral and ER
Experience with Epic

Experience

4 to 5 years of ICU experience preferred
Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required
Heart experience is highly preferred

Unit Details

42-bed ICU
Floating may be required to other units as needed

Patient Population / Unit Focus

Neuro/Med: strokes, sepsis, AMS, neuro intervention, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI
CTICU: cardiovascular surgery, cardiogenic shock, AAA
Surg/Trauma: trauma, major post-op surgery

Equipment

IABP
CRRT (Prisma or NxStage)
Ventriculostomy
ICP monitoring
TTM (Arctic Sun)

Other Notes

Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at local rate
Navy scrubs
