Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ER (Travel)

Job Description

• Work in a combined unit of Emergency Department (ED) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) with a 50/50 patient split.
• Unit includes a 16-bed inpatient area (inpatient, observation, hospice, swing bed) and a 4-bed ED with 3 exam rooms.
• May float to Infusion Therapy Clinic for medication co-sign/break relief if needed.
• Urgent Care currently paused.
• Extended ED boarder patients cared for by nurses.
• Shift Requirements: 12-hour variable shifts (day and night).
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every 3rd weekend and/or additional weekends (including 2 weekends in a row), holidays as needed.
• On Call/Call Back: Can be low censused and put on call; call back minimum is 2 hours.
• Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hours.
• Scrubs: Any color allowed.

Required Qualifications

• Minnesota RN License.
• Certifications: BLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS.
• Minimum Experience: 3 years of Emergency Department experience (higher end of 2-3 years stated).
• Charting Experience: Epic Electronic Health Record system required.
• Must comply with vaccination policy during flu season (flu and COVID vaccination or mask required).

Additional Information

• Contractors must live outside a 50-mile radius.
• GSA not applicable during orientation week.
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
• Compliance with Aspirus vaccination and mask policy is mandatory; failure may result in corrective action.
