Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (4 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
• Level 1 trauma experience
• ACLS
• BLS
• CPI
• PALS
• TNCC or ATCN
• NIHSS

Key Job Responsibilities

• Assess, reassess, and document patient needs and response to care
• Develop, update, and evaluate plans of care
• Administer medications and treatments safely
• Communicate changes in patient condition and coordinate care with the healthcare team
• Provide patient and family education
• Perform admission and discharge nursing activities
• Follow infection control, patient safety, restraint, blood transfusion, disaster, and rapid response procedures
• Care for patients across the age continuum from birth to geriatric
• Safely administer high-risk medications according to policy
