Job Summary
The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible for producing and retaining high-quality diagnostic images using imaging, computer, and other equipment. The role requires thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality standards. The technologist prepares patients for procedures, educates them, and addresses their questions or concerns. Communication and safety approaches are tailored to the patient's age and developmental stage. Responsibilities also include patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control. The technologist will oversee and train students involved in patient care and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images meeting or exceeding standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality.
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide education and support.
- Ensure age-appropriate communication, safety, and patient education.
- Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Oversee and train students providing patient care and treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general radiology.
- Valid license as a Radiologic Technologist.
