Job Description

  • Provide specialized bedside nursing care focused on symptom management, crisis intervention, and family education for hospice patients.
  • Manage patient care and services with compassion and quality, primarily working in patients’ residences.
  • Travel required to long-term care facilities, hospitals, and area agencies within the service area.
  • Occasional overnight travel outside the service area may be necessary for continuing education.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Employee is at direct risk for exposure to infections and blood-borne pathogens.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
  • Minimum of 1 year of hospice nursing experience within the last year.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Experience in a Home Health setting.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation.
