Job Opportunity: Temp Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry (Nights)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
• Required to float across multiple campuses within the system
• Patient types include CABG, ICD, Pacemaker, cardiac drips, vascular surgicals
• Patient ratios: Days 1:4, Nights 1:6
• Telemetry tech unit monitoring
• Use of drips such as Nitro, Cardene, Heparin, Diltiazem, Dopamine, etc.
• Scrubs color: Navy blue solids

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of recent Telemetry/Cardiac nursing experience
• Experience with patient populations: CABG, ICD, Pacemaker, cardiac drips, vascular surgicals
• Cardiac rhythm experience required
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Equipment experience: Alaris IV pump, wound vac
• Drip/titration experience required
• Active Iowa RN license at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA or ARC
• Valid Driver’s License
• Skills checklist specific to Telemetry discipline
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred

Additional Requirements

• Prior travel experience required: must have completed at least one travel contract within the previous 18 months
• No first-time travelers accepted

• Floating required across multiple campuses within the hospital system
