Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient (Days)
Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Facilitate development and rehabilitation of patients with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed occupational therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Occupational Therapy experience
- Behavioral health experience preferred (must be within the last 3 months)
- Licensed Occupational Therapist by NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
- Active Vermont or Compact OT license
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Behavioral health experience and age groups must be clearly listed on the resume
- Resume must include all age groups worked with
- OT skills checklist from within the last year
- Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment
- Must be willing to float to other units and take charge shifts
- Driver’s license or candidate’s address must be included in submission packet
Additional Information
- Behavioral health experience is required and must be documented
- First-time travel therapists will be considered
- CPI training is offered onsite; confirmation required at submission
- Scheduling requests must be included in the submission
- RTO (Requested Time Off) cannot exceed 7 days
- Cancellation policy allows up to 3 shift cancellations per 13 weeks
- Holiday and call-back shifts are compensated at 1.25x the base rate (minimum 2 hours for call-back)
- Unbillable orientation is 8 hours
- The position is located in a rural area with limited housing and public transportation options; candidates should plan accordingly
Notes for Candidates
- Candidates living within 35 miles of the facility will have a rate adjustment (not included here)
- Experience with behavioral health patient populations is essential
- Must be comfortable working in an inpatient setting and flexible with unit assignments and charge shifts
Prior Travel Experience
- No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will be considered
