Job Description

• Part-time position (2 days per week) at an elementary school.
• Caseload: Approximately 12 students with speech-only needs on IEPs and 7 students receiving RtI services for minor articulation errors.
• Work hours: 8:45 AM – 3:45 PM (flexible).

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist

Required Certifications and Licenses

• ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or equivalent certification for Speech Language Pathologists.

• Mandatory Reporter Training (Illinois Mandated Reporter Training) required and must be updated annually.
• Educational Services - FERPA acknowledgment required annually.
• State-specific searches including Illinois Sex Offender Register and State Police Murderer and Violent Offender Against Youth Registry.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start (required by Illinois schools).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start (required by Illinois schools).
• Annual TB questionnaire required.
• Drug testing only if specifically requested by the client.
• Flu vaccination only if required by client.

Additional Notes

• Candidate must complete fingerprinting and have clearance on file prior to start.
• Returning candidates with less than one year break in service may not need to repeat fingerprinting, physical exam, or TB test.
• Various state and facility-specific forms related to Illinois educational services and Faith’s Law must be completed prior to start.
