Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Hayward, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Must work 2 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• Weekend schedule: Every other weekend
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Unit procedures include:

  • Oral intubation
  • Central line placement
  • Arterial line placement
  • Transvenous pacemaker management
  • Intra-aortic balloon pump management
  • Post percutaneous coronary intervention care including sheath transduction or removal
• Transport experience is a significant plus
• Accepts first-time travelers

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Preferred Certifications

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)

Preferred Experience

• Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience
• Charge nurse experience

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1+ year typical for CVICU roles (no conflicting data)
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• International background check if employment gap outside the US in past 7 years
• Education verification or official transcript/diploma required
• Employment application/resume required

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (Aya standard)
• N95 respirator fit test within 1 year for patient contact roles
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility protocol
• MMR vaccines or positive titers for measles, mumps, rubella
• Hepatitis B full vaccine series and titer or proof of immunity
• Varicella vaccines or positive titer
• 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start
• Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (Sept 9 - March 31)
• COVID-19 primary series and booster vaccines required (exemptions accepted)

Additional Notes

• Must be willing to work holidays and every other weekend
• Experience with transport and CVICU highly preferred
