Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Saint Johns, Michigan

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position involves floating between X-Ray and CT modalities.
• Shift schedule (72 hours biweekly):

  • Every Wednesday and Thursday: 8:30 PM – 6:00 AM (9.5 hours)
  • Every other Friday: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM (10 hours)
  • Every other Saturday/Sunday: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (12 hours)
• Orientation: June 1 – June 12 with rotating days for optimal training.
• Weekend shifts every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Current ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience working in an outpatient setting
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Requirements

• Must have a current Michigan state license for Radiologic Technologists.
• CT Technologists must maintain 2 active continuing education (CE) credits in CT specifically.
• Must complete required background checks and verifications including:

  • Social Security verification
  • Criminal background checks (7 years minimum)
  • Education verification (highest level)
  • MI Workforce Fingerprinting (if applicable)
• Health and immunization requirements include:

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start (must note latex sensitivity)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Up-to-date immunizations or titers for MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap
  • Drug screening (10 panel with THC) within 30 days of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination (for flu season)
• Must complete facility-specific orientation modules and safety manual acknowledgment.

Notes

• Floating between X-Ray and CT requires flexibility and competency in both areas.
• Orientation includes rotating days to ensure comprehensive training.
• Weekend shifts are every other weekend, requiring availability for nights and weekends.

This position is ideal for a CT Technologist with strong radiology skills, Epic experience, and flexibility to work varied shifts including nights and weekends. Prior travel experience is not mandatory, making it suitable for first-time travel healthcare professionals.
