Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Cath Lab with interventional scrub experience. The role involves working as an RN Circulator in a diagnostic and interventional PCI environment, providing conscious sedation under physician direction, handling sterile supplies, assessing vitals, and documenting in EPIC. Cross-training to run hemodynamics in the monitor tech role is likely.
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: Yes, includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays with rotating call
- Floating: Yes, within service line scope
- Local candidates not accepted (must live at least 75 miles from facility)
- Pending license accepted
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- No block scheduling accommodation
- RTO Restrictions: No more than 7 days

- Sick Sinus Syndrome
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- License: Valid Registered Nurse license for Missouri (NURSYS verification required)
- Interventional scrub experience required
- Experience with Epic documentation system preferred
- Ability to provide conscious sedation under physician direction
- Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Compliance & Background Requirements
- Government-issued ID required
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification of highest nursing degree required
- Fingerprinting required for Illinois long-term care or rehab units (not applicable here)
- Drug testing within 1 year, including comprehensive panel
- Physical exam within 1 year
- Fit mask testing annually (N95 respirators)
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or exemption during flu season
- HIPAA Acknowledgement, Latex Allergy Questionnaire, Confidentiality Form, Hand Hygiene, Fingernail, and Dress Code policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start
- Regulatory Compliance Education and Orientation Modules required annually via WorkRamp
Additional Competency Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Unit-specific Competency Exam (updated annually)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (updated annually) for Cath Lab RNs
- Skills Checklist within 1 year of start
