Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: N Chelmsford, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Ambulatory Surgery, Outpatient Surgery, or Operating Room nursing for a travel/contract position in the Operating Room.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of a minimum of 2 years education at an accredited School of Nursing, eligible for RN licensure.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Ambulatory Surgery, Outpatient Surgery, or OR nursing.

Licenses

• Current, unrestricted nursing license in Massachusetts.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider (AHA or equivalent) – current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 1 year of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred or to be obtained within 6 months of request.

Prior Travel Experience

• Not explicitly required.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID).
• Background checks including 7-year search, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG (updated annually).
• Verification of certifications and licenses (ACLS, BLS, PALS, State License, NURSYS).
• Competency exams as applicable (Medication Test/Pharmacology, general competency).
• Facility-specific documents including photo for badge, emergency contact form, flu exemption forms, TB risk assessment, vaccine declination forms, confidentiality and code of conduct agreements.
• Health documents including:

  • Physical exam within 1 year.
  • Respirator Fit Test (N95) within last 12 months.
  • TDAP vaccine within past 10 years or declination.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
  • 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year.
  • Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination during flu season.
  • COVID-19 vaccination proof or declination.
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance including OSHA questionnaire.

References

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years).
• 1 professional reference required for per diem non-acute care roles.
• Not required for non-clinical roles.
