Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Certifications Required

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) preferred but not required

Licensure

• Pending licenses not accepted

Scheduling & Work Conditions

• Weekend shifts required as noted above
• Floating to other units or locations within the hospital system may be required
• Contracted hours are guaranteed

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references from authority figures (Manager, Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Director) within the last 12 months
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/31 - 3/31), with medical or religious exemptions accepted under strict facility guidelines
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start (required by Florida law for all patient-facing candidates)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 90 days of start, including marijuana
• Fit mask test within 12 months prior to start (specific mask types required; must be fully shaven)
• Various immunization titers required within 5 years of start (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
• Background checks including Social Security Trace, Education Verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Florida AHCA Level II Fingerprint Clearance (must be completed prior to start)

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with cardiac telemetry and EPIC experience who are comfortable with floating and weekend shifts in a progressive care setting.
