Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Schedule: Days with every other weekend and holidays
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • State Nursing License (Pennsylvania)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Preferred Certifications:

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (annual update)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) for ER & Behavioral Health units

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form (prior to start)
• Background Checks (within 30 days of start):

  • SS Trace and County searches (last 7 years)
  • Nationwide and Sex Offender checks
  • Pennsylvania Statewide Patch Certificate
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM
  • HHS/OIG
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprint Results (detailed process and follow-up required)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (with annual TB questionnaire if past positive)
• Immunizations or titers within 10 years for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination)
• Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or accepted declination during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1)

Competency Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80% or Angoff score)
• General Competency Exam (minimum 80% or Angoff score)

• Orientation Checklist

• Disclosure Statement (with date)
• Employment Handbook review
• Various training modules with 100% quiz pass required:
