Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology
• Shift: Days (06:30 AM - 05:00 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend
• On-Call Requirement: 1 primary night and 1 secondary night per week
• Floating: May float within scope as needed
• Schedule Flexibility: Block schedule requests can be discussed with manager
• Local Candidates: Accepted with no radius restrictions
• Guaranteed Hours: Subject to client call-offs up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work on-call and weekends as specified
• Must be able to float as needed within scope of practice
• Physical exam within one year of start, including labs and immunizations as required
• Drug screening and various health screenings (TB, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccination or approved exemption) required
• Background checks including criminal, sex offender, and state-specific searches required within 30 days of start
• Fingerprinting must be completed in Illinois for those without an IL state license providing direct care
• Competency exam required for all clinical candidates
• Badge photo required prior to start

• Return-to-office restrictions ideally no more than 5 days
• Facility may call off shifts within specified limits without pay obligation
• Candidates must comply with all facility-specific documentation and compliance requirements

This position is ideal for an RN with at least 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience seeking a travel contract in an acute care, Level II trauma center setting with day shifts and a structured weekend/on-call schedule.
