Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Hazard, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Cath Lab Tech with experience in Radiology/Cardiology to support 2 Cath Labs and rotate in the EP Lab. The role involves assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, device implants, and cross-training opportunities in EP (ablations).

Schedule & Call

Monday to Friday with 1 rotating weekday off each week
Call requirement: 8-15 days per month (including 1 night per week and 1 weekend every 3 weeks)
Must respond within 30 minutes for STEMI alerts
Call team consists of 2 RNs + 1 Rad Tech

Responsibilities

Table panning and scrubbing for diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases
Assist with devices/tools such as Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, ACIST injector
Support device implants including Pacemakers & ICDs (single, dual, Bi-V), peripheral diagnostics, and interventions
Cross-training available in EP lab for ablations (EP experience preferred)
Work with both radial and groin access techniques
Handle approximately 8–10 procedures per day and 6–8 STEMI cases per month
Scrubs and lead apron provided

Required Qualifications

Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Kentucky
Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Current ARRT certification
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
