Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Bolivar, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
• Call: After 6 weeks on assignment, eligible for call 3-4 days per month (typically 3).

  • Call hours: 17:30 to 07:00 next day
  • Weekend call: 07:00 Saturday to 07:00 Monday
  • Expectation: 30-minute report to site timeline when called in
• Work radius: Must live within 50 miles of the unit (no exceptions)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Completion of Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• State License 1 Verification
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work (government-issued photo ID, I9, E-Verify)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and state-specific searches
• Primary source verification of RN license (NURSYS verification required)
• Drug screening (9-panel, within last 12 months)
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (deadline November 1)
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (initial and annual)
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgements

Additional Notes

• Candidates must carry photo identification during hours of service
• Religious and medical exemption forms available for COVID and flu vaccinations
• Facility-specific compliance and orientation modules required
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the facility for over 1 year
