Registered Nurse - Pulmonary Nights

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Specialty: Registered Nurse - Pulmonary
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• License: Current Registered Nurse license in Missouri required (license in hand)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Experience in pulmonology nursing
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam signed by a physician or advanced practice provider within the last year (renew annually)
• Fit mask (3M N95 or PAPR) within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years
• Negative TB test (Qgold or Tspot) within 12 months or chest x-ray if previously positive
• TB questionnaire updated annually
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (proof of series, positive titer, or declination)
• Drug testing: 9-panel including marijuana within 30 days of start, renewed annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination required or approved declination

Competencies & Exams

• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
• Color blindness testing required for all travelers
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain units (may not apply to pulmonary nights)

Additional Requirements

• References: 2 supervisor-level references required, with at least one within 1 year of start
• Employment application with 7 years of work history, including explanations for any gaps over 30 days
• Confidentiality statement signed prior to start
• Background and state-specific searches required prior to start (Missouri-specific)
