Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Sayre, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• Call required: 1 shift per week and every 3rd weekend
• Experience with Phillips equipment preferred

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Licensure

• Must hold a valid license appropriate for Cath Lab Tech in Pennsylvania

Required Certifications & Competencies

• ACLS, BLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (basic level required)
• Other certifications as applicable to specialty and state requirements

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Education verification of highest level completed (ASN/BSN for RNs, or equivalent for allied health)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 1 year of start
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting (FBI fingerprinting) required, results must be dated within 5 years of start
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Respirator Fit Test within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe, updated annually
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses) or approved exemption (booster not required)

Additional Requirements

• Physical exam completed and signed by a licensed provider within 90 days of start, updated annually
• Skills checklist specific to unit required within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Completion of facility-specific training modules including HIPAA compliance, infection control, OSHA, safety, security, emergency preparedness, sexual harassment, and diversity/equity/inclusion
• Photo for badge meeting specified guidelines
• Review and sign confidentiality agreement and job description prior to start
• Two professional references required
• Employment application required

Work Schedule

• Call required: 1 shift per week and every 3rd weekend
